Joelton Community Plan (Subarea 1)

The Metropolitan Planning Commission adopted the Joelton Community Plan in 2003, and amended it in 2004 and 2005. The land use policies in the Joelton plan, and the plans for other parts of Davidson County, are described in the Land Use Policy Application document , which explains how land use policies are applied in each area. On August 14, 2008, the Planning Commission approved a new land-use document, the Community Character Manual, which replaces the Land Use Policy Application.  The CCM will be used as community plans and amendments are updated in Subarea 1.

The Joelton Community Plan has no Detailed Neighborhood Design Plans and no Urban Design Overlays.

  • Amendment #1 - adopted May 13, 2004 to include policy definitions
  • Amendment #2 - adopted Dec. 8, 2005 to address former Morny School site
