The Metro Parks and Recreation Department has a wide variety of facilities and programs to be enjoyed across Davidson County. Presently, there are 113 properties on over 10,570 acres, plus seven municipal golf courses. Offering something for everyone, including both passive and active recreation. Including senior programs, special population programs, cultural arts classes, dog parks, a variety of trails, nature programs, sports leagues, art galleries, and much more. MISSION STATEMENT It is the mission of the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation to provide every citizen of Nashville and Davidson County with an equal opportunity for safe recreational and cultural activities within a network of parks and greenways that preserves and protects the region's natural resources.
