Picnic Shelters

Due to the unprecedented demand for shelters, we are only accepting reservations that  are made at least one month (30 days) in advance of planned events. When requesting a shelter, please make sure you have included all information that is requested in the manner presented below. Email requests that are not complete will not be considered.  

Send your request to picnic.reservations@nashville.gov.   A representative will contact you via phone or email within 10 business days.   

Please make sure you have included the following in your request:

  • Name of Park
  • Date (Preference and Secondary Dates)
  • Time
  • Type of Event
  • Number Expected
  • Usage of Sound - microphones, musical devices, etc.
  • Your Name
  • Your Mailing Address (include zip code)
  • Daytime Phone Number Only (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

Reservations are made on a “first come-first served” basis.  

Metro Parks maintains over 45 picnic shelters in 15 park areas.

FEES:
Half Day Use 6:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. $25.00 (in-county), $35 (out of county)
3:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.
Full Day Use 6:00a.m. - 11:00p.m. $50.00 (in-county), $70 (out of county)

Please note that additional permits are required for amplification and extra elements such as moonbounces and staging.
