Make exercise fun! Join a group exercise class at the Centennial Sportsplex! We have music to move you, variety to keep you interested, classmates to encourage you, and instructors to help you do it the right way. A group exercise program will help make getting fit and keeping fit more of a pleasure and less of a chore. You'll be more likely to exercise consistently and better. So, join a group exercise class at the Centennial Sportsplex today!

Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Step - Ken / Jodilyn / Ann / Denise
Come get your heart pumping and body sweating on an adjustable platform bench. Our step classes are fun and challenging for all levels of steppers! Work at your own pace.

Boot Camp / Rope Burn
Military Style Workout! (Cardio conditioning / calisthenics)
Former Boxer, Hobo Mike “and former boxer – current Martial Arts instructor -TJ De Martino put you through an old school workout” Intense… but not impossible! Jump rope, medicine balls, boxing ….OUTSIDE RUNS. (Weather permitting)

Hard Core Abs 30min – Hobo Mike / TJ
This is a 30-minute muscular conditioning for the body’s core in a boot camp setting. Old School “boxers workout” (Intermediate / Advance workout).

Abs and Back 30min – Denise
Abdominal and low back strengthening workout utilizing medicine balls, body bars, and dumbbells. Beginners are welcome. This class is designed for all levels of fitness

Body Sculpt - Jarrah / Jodilyn
Challenge and push your body to a new level. This class targets all major muscle groups of the body utilizing dumbbells, body bars, resistance bands and more.

PIYO – Jodilyn / Denise
(Combination Pilates and Yoga) Strengthen and lengthen the body’s major and stabilizing muscle groups for a complete mind body workout. Level 1 is a more basic format.

Gentle Yoga - Robin / Denise
Calm your mind as you relieve the stress of the day. Gradually increase your range of motion with basic and easy to learn yoga poses. This class is beginner friendly.

Yoga – Gillian / Robbie
Relieve daily Stress and focus on your inner you. This class improves flexibility, balance, coordination, and concentration.

Iyengar Yoga – Natasha
Based on the teachings of Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar, the world’s most foremost expert on yoga asana. Iyengar yoga focuses on correct alignment of the spine and limbs in all poses. Various props are used to allow all levels of students participate safely and effectively.

Belly Dance - Ann
Tribal style dance, controlled and elegant. Appropriate for all levels of fitness. This class improves your posture, core control and mind body awareness.

H20 Classes
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, new to exercise or just love the water… Enjoy a challenging water exercise class! (See Aquatic schedule) Shallow water exercise emphasizes stretching and strengthening of the muscles and for individuals wanting to lose weight and gain muscle tone. No swimming ability is needed. Exercising in the water is less stressful to the joints and is especially suited for people attempting to regain strength and flexibility after an injury or surgery. Try it!

*All Classes are Free with a Sportsplex membership or $6.00 day pass. A day pass also includes use of fitness room and pools.

  • All participants are to check in at the front desk, and receive a wrist band. Please sign in for each class.
  • Class participants must be at least 16 years of age. Ages 13 to 15 must have a parent or guardian present.
  • Sportsplex Instructors are certified and trained in CPR.
  • Classes are subject to cancellation due to low attendance or availability of instructor.
  • Class re-location information will be available when facility events prevent classes from being held at Centennial Sportsplex. Please check the website or call 615-862-8480 for class re-location information.
